Google verification problems have been
solved, I can access Blogger again. So I'll be doing some posts and
catching up.
I'm writing this out of sequence, but
we're in Eyeries tonight. Been a great trip so far. The walking has
been more strenuous than I think we expected, but everyone's hung in
there.
The weather has been both a highlight
and a bit of an issue. The highlight is that SW Ireland is
experiencing their first real summer in years, according to the
locals. And it's beautiful. Sunny skies, highs in the low 80's.
That's right, no rain. That's really unexpected. Charlotte people,
eat your hearts out!
The downside to the weather is that the
first day's hike was sunny and a little too warm. The warmest day in many years.
More on that in an
upcoming post.
As usual, one of the highlights of the
Ireland walks is the people. The folks we've met have been memorable.
We'll tell you about some of them in some upcoming posts. As well as
some trail magic we've had with some unusual connections along the
way.
Thanks for Bearaing With Us so far.
Thank goodness you solved the technology problems! I was almost overcome with the longing to hear about the trip... now as you might know, it is common practice for AT hikers to earn trail names.. dare we hope we will be hearing some of those for the Fabulous Four??
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back. Couldn't Beara the anticipation. And, I see that Dick is still standing. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteSandy, trail names are a great idea! We'll be working on them. Suggestions appreciated.
